Add books to your Christmas gifts and support the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention

Hello! Welcome to My Space (okay, not MySpace as many of us used to know it…).

Shortly after my last blog post and business update, my family was rocked by the unexpected death of my husband and the father of our three, beautiful children. The few months that followed have been incredibly difficult, as I’m sure you can imagine. Our kids and I have taken time to reflect, heal, grow, hurt, etc. It will certainly take us a lifetime to work through all of these things. We have had an amazing support system helping us up along the way. There’s one thing that sticks out to me today, on Thanksgiving: The whole world doesn’t actually stop when your own world comes crashing down around you. We’ve been ever so slowly trying to jump back into the world with both feet on the ground, as much as we can.

Working on my author business is one of the ways I need to get back into the world. I managed to attend a few events shortly after my husband died. You may have seen me at Delaware Pride or a conference in Maryland for nutrition profressionals! My family encouraged me to continue with the events I had on my calendar, but, after a few weeks, it was just too much for us. Now, we’re ready to start adding some things back into our world! Last year when I started this journey as a children’s book author, I gave a portion of my proceeds to the Milford Community Band in memory of my grandfather who started that band three decades ago. This year, I’d like to do something similar as a way to give thanks and make the holidays a little brighter for us this year by helping others. This year, through Dec. 31, a portion of all proceeds from my book sales will be given to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. That organization has been incredibly helpful in our new journey. I have seen first hand how they positively impact families dealing with a loss or those who are coping with intrusive thoughts of their own. It would be an honor to be able to use this author platform as a way to send a donation to them in Ben’s memory.

I have some local events lined up over the next month. Please feel free to order in advance, click local delivery and let me know in the written section/address which event you’ll be attending. You could also order for local delivery and email me your details (which event and personalization details) at jenn.antonik@gmail.com or send me a message on my Facebook page. As of right now, I’ll be headed to the Author Night at the Milford Public Library on Monday, Nov. 29 in the evening, Choral Breakfast in Milford on Saturday, Dec. 4 in the morning and a very probably Christmas in Smyrna on Sunday, Dec. 12 in the afternoon. I hope to see you around!

Thank you for your support, love and understanding. We will get by with a lot of help from our friends! ❤ To order a three-book bundle, visit this link: https://square.link/u/wJEOkRL3
